Love Heard my cry
I am so pleased to be able to get to Church now after 6 months of disability following two hip operations. The first sermon on the woman who washed Jesus feet with her tears moved me deeply. Such expressions of love to the Lord are very beautiful and that is what I experienced first hand in these past months from brothers and sisters in Maybridge Church who visited me and cooked for me, sustaining me through a difficult time. (“whenever you did this for one of the least important brothers of mine you did it for me” Mat. 25 v 40. They were loving me because of their first love – Jesus. It was a great experience for me because because the glory of the Lord was to be seen in their faces and relished in the food they had lovingly prepared. (“everything you do or say should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus” Col 3 V 17 ). The food was provided by God and produced through the His creative gifting . This released God’s glory in a tangible way. I was built up physically and spiritually. I knew there was real effort put into this for me because of the corresponding energy and spiritual uplift that came from receiving it. (Culinary tip ! Col 3 v 14 Add love which binds all things together in perfect unity.) If you are able to contribute to this ministry of caring at Maybridge please contact Louis and Pam Fidge (pal.fidge@yahoo.co.uk) who co-ordinate it. Joe talked about “from the pig sty to transformation”. I went from the gutter (lying with my bike) to through a period of complete helplessness, realising how much stuff in my life could be jettisoned because it equated with “cares of the world” that “choked the Word. I want to sincerely thank everyone who loved me and supported me through this time and who, through your efforts let me experience the power of love which released the glory of God. Bernice
